Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Cold weather conditions are expected to prevail on Sunday in most parts of the Kingdom, while it will be pleasant in the Jordan Valley and Aqaba with clouds at various altitudes and a chance of light showers at night in the northern areas, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said.
The department warned of low horizontal visibility in the morning hours and the late night hours due to fog formation over highlands and parts of the Badia regions, and of frost and freezing in the morning hours.
Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman will reach a high of 11 degrees Celsius, 12 in the northern areas and 13 in the southern governorates, dropping down at night to 5, 2 and 1 respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 19 degrees Celsius and lows standing at 11 degrees at night.
On Monday, cold and partly cloudy conditions are predicted with scattered rain in many areas of the country with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the JMD noted.
Similar cold weather will remain on Tuesday with easterly moderate to brisk winds at times, the JMD further said.
