Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Personnel, on Wednesday, has arrested the main suspect in a recent bank robbery and seized half of the stolen money, and search is still ongoing for his partner, according to a Public Security Department (PSD) statement.

The PSD spokesperson said a CID special investigation team was formed to follow up on the robbery, and investigations are still ongoing after identifying the two suspects who committed the crime, and arresting one of them.

On Sunday afternoon, two unidentified, masked and armed men entered a branch of a bank in the Al-Mahatah area, in center Amman, and stole some cash at gunpoint and fled the scene by a vehicle.

He added that the investigation team, through the information gathered and evidences from the crime scene, was able to identify the suspects and the whereabouts of one them, who is the main suspect in the case.

The suspect confessed to the crime and in partnership with a friend of his, and the vehicle, used in the escape, half of the stolen money and tools used in the robbery were seized and the investigation and the search for the other partner are still ongoing.
