Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Finance Ministry denied discord with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) over the financial reform program.
In a statement on Saturday, the ministry said the IMF mission, who concluded its visit to the Kingdom last week, held several meetings at the Finance Ministry, the Central Bank, the Planning and International Cooperation Ministry, the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry, the Water and Irrigation Ministry, and the Industry, Trade and Supply Ministry.
The meetings tackled various strategies and plans the IMF is working on within the financial reform program, it added.
The ministry stated that talks were also held with the Fund's new chief on the financial and economic indicators and measures regarding the economic reform program.
Measures aimed at boosting economic growth were also discussed, as well as its impact on managing debt in light of failure to achieve the economic growth target for this year, and how it affected revenues and indebtedness.
The ministry also refuted that the meetings with the IMF delegation touched on details of ministries and government institutions' allocations.
