Tourism revenues at $3.2 billion in July

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Tourism revenues by the end of July 2019 has increased by 8.6 percent, up to $3.2 billion (JD2.3 billion), compared to $2.95 billion during the same period last year, the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) announced on Wednesday.

The CBJ said the increase was driven by a 6.3 percent rise in the total number of tourists compared to the same period of 2018, estimated at around 2.9 million visitors.

In July 2019, the Kingdom’s revenues from tourism went up by 10.1 percent, reaching $567.4 million, compared to the $515.3 million of the same month in 2018, the statement added.
