Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The tourism sector delivered a six-month revenue of $2.6 billion with over 2.438 million visitors arriving in the Kingdom since the beginning of the current year continuing a strong rebound that started in late 2016.
The Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) said tourism income surged by 8.3 percent during the January-June period of the current year at $2.6 billion against $2.4 billion for the same period of 2018.
Breaking down the figures, the CBJ said June saw a major increase in both tourist revenue and arrivals soaring by 26.9 and 26.5 percent respectively.
