Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A slight rise in temperatures is expected on Wednesday and Thursday, bringing relatively hot weather in the hilly areas and plains and hot in the rest of the country, with northwesterly moderate winds, the Jordan Meteorological Department(JMD) said in its daily brief.
At night, moderate conditions will prevail in many parts of the Kingdom, while it will be relatively hot in the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley with northwesterly moderate winds .
Daytime temperatures expected for today will reach 34 degrees Celsius in Amman and 30 in the northern and southern governorates, dropping down at night to 24, 17 and 19 respectively . The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs jumping to 42 degrees and lows sliding to 30, the JMD added.
Hot conditions are forecast to dominate on Friday, as mercury levels continue to rise reaching 4-6 degrees above their annual average, while it will be extremely hot in Aqaba and the Jordan Valley, the JMD further said.
