Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Jordanian-Tunisian Business Council on Monday discussed means of developing trade ties as well as ways to overcome obstacles, enhance the intra-trade and promote trade exchange between the two countries.
Talks were held on the sidelines of the Jordanian-Tunisian economic meeting, organized by the Jordan Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Tunisian embassy in Amman.
The Council stressed the importance of strengthening joint efforts to address all challenges that could hinder trade exchanges growth, and to promote trade and investments between businesspeople and exporters of the two countries.
It also stressed the need to encourage mutual participation of industrial and commercial institutions in the specialized exhibitions held in both countries. Discussions also focused on commercial missions to contribute to the promotion and identification of each other's products, provide opportunity to choose their needs of different commodities, and help open more prospects for joint cooperation.
Official figures indicate that the volume of trade exchange between the two countries in 2018, stood at JD208 million, falling by 9 percent compared to 2017 .
