Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Ministry of Health's hospitals received some 60,000 patients, during the Eid al-Fitr holiday.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the ministry's spokesperson, Hatem al-Azruei said emergency departments in the hospitals affiliated with the Ministry continued to receive patients and provide medical service as usual, 24 hours a day.
He pointed out that the number of patients who were visited departments of emergency during the holiday amounted to more than 49,000, while the number of admissions to hospitals amounted about 2500 and the number of surgeries reached 219 and more than 1400 dialysis sessions.
He noted that the Al-Bashir Hospital received the largest number of patients, who amounted to about 7,500, followed by Al-Zarqa Hospital with about 4500 and Princess Basma Hospital in Irbid with more than 3,900 patients.
