Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Omar Razzaz launched during a visit to the National Aid Fund ( NAF) on Thursday, launched the supplementary support programme (Takaful), the biggest national program for social protection in the Kingdom's history.
The JD200 million program, which will be implemented over a period of three years, comes in implementation of the government's work priorities, and aims to strengthen the protection and social welfare network for poor and needy families in the Kingdom.
NAF announced that applying for support could be done through website reg.takmeely.jo as of today and for a month. It said 200 registration support units have been adopted in various regions of the Kingdom.
During a meeting with Minister of Social Development and Board Chairperson of the Fund Basma Ishaqat and Director General of NAF Omar Mashagbeh, Razzaz said that the government today launched one of the most important programs of the national strategy of social protection, which benefits 140,000 families, adding that it is the largest national programs of social protection in the Kingdom.
Minister of social development said that the program, which will be implemented with a new approach, has been prepared by the Ministry. She said large amounts of data has been collected from about 50 official institutions, adding that the families that would benefit from the program will be chosen based on indicators.
