Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Minister of State for Media Affairs Jumana Ghunaimat on Monday said that the government will not impose additional taxes in 2019 and 2020.
She said in a meeting with journalists that the government is committed to alleviating the burdens on the citizens and to avoiding imposing additional pressures, stemming from its commitment to addressing the needs of the people and provide solutions.
She said that the government on Wednesday will launch a social protection strategy as a measure to reduce the burdens on the shoulders of Jordanians.
She said that the most prominent aspect of the strategy is a complementary support project for beneficiaries from the National Aid Fund to be implemented side by side with the complementary support program that is already established and serves more 95,000 families, expecting that the number of additional families which will benefit from the new program to reach a minimum of 25,000 families.
