Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Lower House’s Economy and Investment Committee, Prime Minister Omar Razzaz and a governmental economic team on Sunday discussed the management's structure of the economic and investment fields.
Razzaz said the government will continue tackling economic challenges and reducing their ramifications on the lives of Jordanians, stressing that the parliament's participation in reaching a national program is a top priority for the government.
He added that a recent study had showed that Jordan needs a digital economy as a part of its economic approach and indicated the importance of a framework that will develop this sector which is able to job opportunities and export services, not to mention the focus on innovation and move toward a digital economy amid this fourth industrial revolution.
He noted that the introduction of the Ministry of Local Administration aims at keeping up with this revolution and coordinating between the municipal work and the provincial councils in line with His Majesty King Abdullah II's instructions to broaden the scope of participation in the decision-making process and setting up priorities.
The Jordan: Growth and Opportunity - the London Initiative 2019 attested that the government has undertaken many financial reforms, Razzaz said, adding that the main challenge in 2019 and 2020 will be the work mechanism and setting priorities to achieve economic growth.
