Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Temperatures on Wednesday are expected to soar 8-10 degrees above their annual average, bringing hot and dry conditions across the country with northeasterly moderate to brisk winds, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said.
Mercury levels will few degrees on Thursday, but they will remain 5-7 degrees above their seasonal average creating relatively hot conditions in the hilly areas and the plains, while it will continue to be hot in other parts of the country.
High clouds are also forecast with northwesterly moderate winds picking up at times , the JMD said.
As of Friday, similar conditions will continue to prevail with high clouds in the southeasterly areas, and southwesterly to northwesterly moderate winds, the department added.
Daytime temperatures expected for today will reach 37 degrees Celsius in Amman, 36 in the northern cities and 35 southern governorates, dropping down to 20,18 and 14 respectively. The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs jumping to 41 degrees and lows sliding to 25 at night, the JMD added further.
