Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Omar Razzaz urged all ministries and public institutions to abide by regulations governing the use of government vehicles.
In a circular issued on Sunday, Razzaz said that all ministries and public institutions should abide by the 2011 by-law on the use of government vehicles as well as by-law No. 104 of 2008 on the Registration and Licensing of Vehicles which forbid changing plates of government-owned vehicles without the approval of concerned authorities.
He added that all violating government vehicles will be withdrawn and that vehicles with engines over 2000cc will be handed over to the Prime Ministry, noting that the Audit Bureau will be tasked to implement the order.
The premier also entrusted the Ministry of Transport to activate the implementation of the government-vehicle tracking by-law, set to begin on May 15, to include an additional 8,500 cars, thus covering all 13,500 government issued vehicles.
