Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Temperatures, on Wednesday, are expected to rise 4-5 degrees above annual average bringing relatively hot weather across many parts of the country, while it will be hot in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).
Clouds will appear at high altitudes with westerly moderate winds picking up at times, the JMD said.
Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman and the northern cities will hover around 29 degrees Celsius, sliding at night to 19 and 18 degrees respectively . The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 40 degrees Celsius and lows standing at 24, the JMD noted.
Similar weather conditions will continue to prevail on Thursday with clouds at various altitudes and a chance for light showers in various areas, while winds will be westerly moderate to brisk, blowing dust at times, the department added.
A tangible in mercury levels is forecast on Friday, bringing back spring-like moderate conditions in most regions, while it will be relatively hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba with clouds at various altitudes and westerly moderate winds, blowing dust, the JMD further added.
