The official made the remarks during a meeting with a number of journalists on the occasion of the "Belt and Road" Forum which concludes in Beijing today under the patronage of Chinese President Xi Jinping. Haitao said the volume of trade exchange between Jordan and China reaches more than $3 billion, pointing to major Chinese projects being implemented in Jordan. He noted that China is a financer and investor in the Attarat Power Plant, an oil shale-fueled power plant under construction in the Attarat Um Ghudran. Haitao stressed China's continued assistance to Jordan, which is represented in three areas, including infrastructure projects, humanitarian assistance and human resources development. The official said his country is the largest provider of training to Jordan, adding that last year, 438 officials and technicians took part in bilateral and multilateral training courses to promote international cooperation. He added that China's aid to Jordan is continuing uninterrupted and is being offered without political condition.
