Ankara supports King's Jerusalem stances, says Turkish official

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The head of the Inter-parliamentary Jerusalem Platform, Deputy Treasury Minister of Turkey, Nureddin Nebati, said Palestine is the top Muslim issue, expressing his country's support to Jordan's position and to the stances of His Majesty King Abdullah II as the Guardian on the holy sites in Al Aqsa Mosque, and stressing the need to unify efforts in this regard.
This came during Nebati's meeting with the visiting Jordanian parliamentary delegation, on the sidelines of their participation in the Afro-Asian Forum for Cooperation and Development in Istanbul.
The delegation, chaired by head of the House Palestine Committee, Yahya Saud, is comprised of MPs Saud Abu Mahfouz and Ensaf Khawaldeh.
During the meeting, Saud stressed the "deep-rooted" relations between Turkey and the Kingdom, praising Ankara's positions in support of the Palestinian cause and Jerusalem.
Saud also expressed appreciation of the Jordanian Parliament and people for the Turkish positions, as expressed by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in supporting the Palestinian cause and backing the Hashemite Guardianship over the Islamic and Christian sanctities in Al-Quds Al-Sharif.
