Gov't instructs public funds to postpone citizens loans payments

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The cabinet on Wednesday instructed boards of government funds to postpone payments of loans due to citizens during the holy month of Ramadan unless the borrower wishes to pay.

In a meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Omar Razzaz, the cabinet asked government funds managements to postpone installments due to individuals only after the last payment due on their loans and without imposing any additional interest.

The government funds include: Hajj Fund, Orphans Fund Development Foundation, Development and Employment Fund, Postal Saving Fund, Student Support Fund, Poor Families Support Program, and the Governorates Development Fund and loans provided by the Jordanian Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO).

In the meeting, the government endorsed a number of laws and regulations related to local issues.
