Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A slight rise in temperatures is expected Thursday, creating moderate conditions in most areas, while it will be it will be relatively warm in the Jordan Valley and Dead sea.
The Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said, clouds at different altitudes are also forecast with scattered showers accompanied by thunder at times, while winds will be southeasterly to southwesterly moderate to brisk, stirring dust in the Badia regions, the department added.
Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman and the northern cities will hover around 19 degrees Celsius, dropping down to 10 degrees at night. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 29 degrees Celsius and lows standing at 18 degrees at night, the JMD added.
Mercury levels will again on Friday as unstable weather conditions will continue with clouds at various altitudes and scattered showers that may turn heavier accompanied by hail thunder causing floods in valleys, lowlands and water- accumulation areas. Winds will be northwesterly moderate to brisk blowing dust in the desert, the JMD further said.
On Saturday, spring- like conditions will prevail in most regions, while it will be relatively warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba with clouds at various altitudes and showers, while winds will be southeasterly moderate to brisk, the department noted.
