Kingdom to be affected by cold air front

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Kingdom will be affected on Saturday by a cold front accompanied by a depression centered over Cyprus that will bring rain and lower temperatures across most regions of the Kingdom, according to Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

Heavy rain accompanied by thunder hand hail is expected in many regions including Aqaba with possible flood formation in low-lying areas and valleys, the department added.

Winds will be south westerly brisk raining dust in the desert areas.

Similar conditions will prevail on Sunday as the Kingdom will remain under the impact of the cold front. Winds will be south westerly moderate to brisk changing to north westerly in some areas.

Temperatures in Amman for today will range between a high of 14 degrees Celsius and a low of 6 degrees while mercury levels in Aqaba will reach a high of 26 degrees dropping down to 16 degrees at night.
