Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A slight rise in temperatures is expected to prevail Friday but cold and cloudy conditions are expected to continue, as a spell of cold weather is expected to bring thermometers down.
It will be mostly cloudy with patchy rain and drizzle in the northern region and winds will be moderate blowing from the west, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).
Weather will turn colder later at night, and clouds will start to build up, increasing the chance for rainfall in the northern and central regions.
As we head into Saturday, cold conditions will continue to prevail with partly cloudy skies, and showers every once in a while in the northern and central regions is predicted, as a depression accompanied by a wet air mass is forecast to affect the country.
Mercury levels in Amman and the northern region will reach a high of 13 degrees Celsius during the day, dipping to 6 degree overnight. The southern region will feel a high of 10 degrees Celsius, dropping down to 4 degrees, while in the port city of Aqaba, thermometers will stand at 23 degrees Celsius, sliding to 13 degrees at night.
