Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Warm and pleasant day is expected Wednesday across many parts of the country, but with southwesterly moderate winds, stirring dust and reducing horizontal visibility, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.
At night, a cold and wet air mass accompanied by a depression will gradually start affecting the Kingdom, bringing cloudy skies with rain across many parts, it added.
Heavier rain will fall at the midnight, especially in the northern parts, forming floods in the valleys and low lands. Winds will become westerly to brisk and stirring dust in many areas.
Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman and the northern cities will reach 21 degrees Celsius, and 18 in the southern governorates, dropping down at night to 6 and 4 respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 29 degrees Celsius and lows standing at 15, the JMD explained.
The impacts of the depression and the air mass are expected to continue on Thursday, when temperatures will tangibly with heavy rain accompanied by thunder and hail and forming floods in valleys and low lands.
Winds will be westerly to northwesterly with speed reaching 50-60 km/h.
Partly cloudy skies are expected to remain on Friday with scattered rain showers in the northern and central regions, it further added.
