Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Italian Ambassador to Jordan Fabio Cassese stressed the need to increase Jordanian participation in the activities of the Arab-Italian Chamber of Commerce in Rome, through delegations and conferences, to present investment opportunities in Jordan to Italian businessmen.

Cassese made his remarks Tuesday during a meeting with the president and members of the Zarqa Chamber of Industry.

The Italian Ambassador said it is important to increase the exchange of expertise in the trade and economic fields, especially in the fields of export, as Jordan signed several trade agreements, lauding the strong ties between Italy and Jordan.

He added out that the Zarqa Governorate, northeast of Amman, is an important part of the Jordanian economy as it hosts many important industries.

the Zarqa Chamber of Industry President Faris Hammoudeh said the investment environment in Zarqa and Mafraq, northern Amman, is competitive and ready to receive Italian investments in various sectors.

Facilities provided for Jordanian exports within the framework of easing the rules of origin agreement with the EU constitute a great opportunity for European investments in general for investing and manufacturing within the Kingdom with a view to exporting to the European market, Hammoudeh noted.
