Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority signed an executive memorandum with its Jordanian counterpart to coordinate the joint work between the two countries and increase the number of flights between Iraq and Jordan.

"We look forward to further cooperation and coordination in several areas regarding civil aviation and air operations between Iraq and Jordan," said Khalil Ibrahim, Director General of the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority.

He added that the memorandum also included the exchange of experiences and capabilities and the use of the available resources in consolidating the strong working relationship in terms of increasing the number of flights, technical fields, aviation safety, air operations, airport safety, air navigation standards, and civil aviation legislation.

The ongoing work of the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority with the various countries of the world comes within the direction of the Iraqi government to strengthen the frameworks and cooperation on the expansion of the services provided in travel and for passengers between international airports.

Iraq and Jordan have concluded agreements to promote trade between the two brotherly countries, and to establish an industrial zone on the border as well as the extension of an oil pipeline from southern Iraq to the port of Aqaba on the Red Sea.
