Saudi flag adorns Egyptian pyramids marking crown prince’s visit

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - In a unique welcoming gesture marking Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s visit to Egypt on Monday, the historic Giza pyramids were adorned with the Saudi flag. Pictures of the display were tweeted by Egyptian social media users with the hashtag ‘Crown Prince in his second country Egypt.’

The trip to Cairo is the third leg of a tour through the Arab world by the Saudi Crown Prince after visits to Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, Egyptian state news agency MENA said.

He is expected to further strengthen bilateral relations with Egyptian President Abdelfattah al-Sisi.

This is the crown prince’s second visit to Egypt this year, reflecting the depth and strength of the strategic relations between the two countries.
