Three arrested for allegedly selling artefacts

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Preventive Security Department personnel arrested 3 people with artefacts in their possession, according to a security source.

The Northern Region Preventive Security Department said that upon receiving a tip-off about individuals allegedly selling artefacts, the department identified the suspects and set up an operation to recover the pieces.

After searching the home of one of the suspects, 21 gold and 3 bronze pieces in addition to two statues and other artefacts were found.

"The seized items were referred to the Department of Antiquities, noting that an investigation began into the case," it added.
