Jordanian ambassador to Moscow attends televised Russian seminar

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Members of the Russian Parliament (Duma) and Federal Council expressed their country's keenness to enhance cooperation relations between Jordan and Russia in all fields during a televised seminar on Wednesday, attended by Jordanian ambassador to Moscow, Amjad Adaileh.
Russian officials lauded the level of the bilateral political, economic, and cultural relations, highlighting prospects of boosting them in various fields, especially in the tourism sector.
They also commended Jordan's role in solving Middle East issues and countering terrorism, adding the two countries need to overcome challenges to boost ties in a way that best serves their interests.
For his part, Adaileh voiced Jordan's keenness to boost bilateral political and economic relations in various fields, adding they are based on "balance, mutual respect and cooperation to maintain security as well as regional and international peace."
On the Syrian crisis, he said Amman and Moscow share a similar stance on the issue, underlining their desire to maintain Syria's unity and resolve the crisis within the frame of a holistic political settlement.
The ambassador said the Syria war triggered a slump in Jordan's trade exchange, expressing hope the opening of the Jordanian-Syrian border crossing will help a rebound.
