King, Saudi Monarch hold talks in Riyadh

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II and Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz held talks in Riyadh on Tuesday on the brotherly and historical relations between the two countries and the latest developments in the region.
During the talks, which were attended by high-ranking officials of the two countries, the two leaders voiced their pride in the advanced level of Jordanian-Saudi relations and their keenness to expand cooperation in various fields.
They also stressed the importance of continuing coordination and consultation between Jordan and Saudi Arabia on various issues of mutual interest to serve the interests of the two countries and peoples and the interests of the Arab nation and its just causes.
King Abdullah reiterated Jordan's support of the Saudi Kingdom in various circumstances and expressed his appreciation for Riyadh's efforts in supporting joint Arab action and enhancing the prospects of achieving peace in the region.
The leaders also reviewed the overall challenges and crises in the region and efforts to reach political solutions to them that restore security and stability for its peoples.
The talks were attended on the Jordanian side by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, Advisor to the King and Director of His Majesty's Office Manar Al-Dabbas and Jordanian Ambassador in Riyadh Ali Al-Kayed.
Also attending on the Saudi side were Prince Faisal Bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Prince of Riyadh, Prince Mansour Bin Mut'ib bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State, Member of the Council of Ministers and Advisor to the King, Prince Khalid Bin Faisal Bin Turki, Saudi Ambassador to Jordan, Minister of Finance Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan and Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Abdul Rahman Al-Fadhli.
The Saudi Monarch held a lunch banquet in honor of His Majesty King Abdullah II, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the United Arab Emirates, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan and Ethiopian Deputy Prime Minister Demeke Mekonnen. The banquet was attended by Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz.
