Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Omar Razzaz on Tuesday said the public transport system in the capital Amman will see a major boost with the introduction of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) in early 2021.

Speaking at a ceremony the Comprehensive Multiple Transportation Company held to celebrate the introduction of 65 buses to its Amman fleet, the prime minister said the transport sector "didn't take its fair share of development, adding that today's addition will serve as a quantum leap in the capital's transport infrastructure.

Chairman of the Comprehensive Multiple Transportation Company, in which the government owns a majority stake of 74 percent, said having an integrated public transport system reflects social and economic development.
