Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister, Omar Razzaz, on Sunday honored an investigative team of the Jordan Anti-Corruption Commission (JACC), who succeeded in restoring JD20 million as a result of financial, technical and administrative violations in construction projects carried out by contractor companies for the Jordan Phosphate Mining Company (JPMC).
The probe team unraveled a large waste of public funds in the implementation of these construction works during the period, 2012-2017.
The Prime Minister praised the team's efforts to uncover violations on public funds, and stressed this achievement reflects the government's policy and seriousness in the fight against all forms of financial and administrative corruption firmly and responsibly.
The Prime Minister said the government has embraced the slogan launched by His Majesty King Abdullah II "No immunity to the corrupt," which is a guideline to the government's work in the fight against all forms of corruption, and added the law will be applied to everyone with all fairness and transparency and without favoritism to any person or entity.
Razzaz stressed the importance to protect people's reputation from rumors and slurs.
