Libya to pay debts owed to Jordanian hospitals soon, Libyan ambassador confirms

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Libyan ambassador to the Kingdom of Jordan, Mohammed Barghathi, said in a meeting with the Jordanian House of Representatives Speaker, Atef Tarawneh, that Libya is taking steps to pay its debts to Jordanian hospitals.

According to Jordanian press sources, the meeting dealt with the debt issue on the Libyan side.

Tarawneh said that Jordan is still looking forward to resolving this outstanding issue and that the delay in paying the debts has affected several sectors including hospitals and closure of some medical facilities.

For his part, Barghathi said that the debt file is in the process of being solved, pointing out that he had contacted several officials in Libya to start payment as soon as possible.
