The minister pointed to Jordan's depleting water resources that results from meeting the water needs of citizens and refugees in light of the high cost of transporting water and energy. Jordan, he said, looks for more Spanish support, especially in the field of renewable energy to reduce the cost of production and water transport and desalination. The Spanish delegation praised efforts exerted by Jordan to address water challenges facing it and voiced readiness to provide expertise to the Kingdom in the water sector.
