Deputy PM meets World Bank delegation

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Economic Affairs Jafar Hassan on Sunday discussed with a World Bank delegation, led by Executive Director and Dean of the Board of Executive Directors of the World Bank Group Merza Hussain Hasan, the strategic partnership between Jordan and the Bank.

The meeting tackled the Kingdom's plan to stimulate and double economic growth over the next five years.

The deputy prime minister pointed out that the government's economic team focuses on promoting economic programs to rejuvenate growth in the various sectors of the economy alongside fiscal reforms, emphasizing that sustainable growth is the key to ensure self-reliance in solving economic problems.

The WB official stressed the Bank's desire to enhance Jordan's ability to implement the economic stimuli plan over the coming years in the framework of the partnership with Jordan.
