Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The government's oil pricing committee on Saturday decided to raise the price of 90-octane gasoline for the month of April to JD 0.780 per liter instead of JD 0.760, and 95-octane gas to JD1.005 per liter, instead of JD 0.985.
The committee, which meets monthly to modify prices according to fluctuations in the international petroleum markets, said in a statement that it also decided to raise the price of diesel to JD 0.570 per liter, instead of JD 0.560.
The price of kerosene was fixed at JD 0.520 per liter for another month and the price of a cylinder of cooking gas also remained unchanged at JD 7.0, it said.
According to the statement, the committee based its decision on the global price index, which showed a "noticeable" increase in the prices of crude oil during the month of March, where in some days it exceeded the level of $70 a barrel.
