Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A Romanian investment delegation comprising 46 businessmen and investors will visit Jordan next April to learn about investment opportunities in the Kingdom and to hold meetings with the economic and trade sectors, the Romanian ambassador said in Amman, Nicolae Comanescu.
During his meeting with official and popular activities, as well as Romanian universities' alumni on Wednesday, he said Mafraq governorate attract some expected investment projects.
He also said Jordan would be a destination for tourists from Romania.
On refugees, he said Jordan has borne the brunt of the Syrian refugee crisis and pointed out this issue needs international humanitarian support to alleviate the host communities' woes.
In turn, the governor of Mafraq, Hassan Al-Qiam, explained the lucrative investment privileges in his province, which are economically feasible and will have a positive impact on development projects.
On invement measures, he stressed readiness of the province to cooperate with the relevant parties to facilitate investor applications, in light of the ambassador's remarks on a visit of an economic and investment Romanian delegation to Jordan soon to look into its investment opportunities.
He called on the international community and donor organizations to help the Kingdom fulfill their refugee obligations, as well as to help host communities.
