Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A military judge halted the effort to use a military tribunal to prosecute a Guantanamo Bay detainee accused of orchestrating the 2000 bombing of the American destroyer Cole, bringing the already troubled case to an indefinite standstill, The New York Times reported.

The judge, Col. Vance Spath of the Air Force, suspended pretrial hearings in the death penalty case against the detainee, identified as Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri, after nearly the entire defense team quit late last year.
