Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Jordanian Farmers Union President Odeh Rawashdeh said the acting prime minister will meet on Wednesday with representatives of the agricultural sector (farmers and traders of agricultural materials, associations and trade unions) to discuss issues pertaining to the sector and the tax imposed on it.
Rawashdeh told Petra that the agricultural sector is a major engine of many industrial, commercial and service sectors, expressing hope to reach understandings to support the agricultural sector and farmers.
A number of farmers, poultry breeders and cows are staging a sit-in in front of the House of Representatives for the eighth day in a row, in protest against the tax imposed on the sector.
