Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Chairman of the Jordanian-Lebanese Committee at the Parliament, PM Khaled Ramadan, hailed Amman's ties with Beirut as "longstanding and historic".
During a meeting with the Lebanese ambassador here Tracy Chamoun at the embassy's headquarters on Sunday, Ramadan said bilateral relations are model to follow suit on the pan-Arab level, particularly in regard to coordination on issues of mutual interest and the Palestinian cause.
Ramadan also expressed hope to rejuvenate inter-Arab parliamentary cooperation, a bid aimed to trigger a positive impact on orchestrating endeavors on regional and global arenas.
Chamoun, for her part, commended Jordan's crucial role on tackling Arab refugees' crisis, a part of its efforts on the Islamic and pan-Arab fronts, and urged to foster coordination between the two countries'' parliamentary panels.
