Crown Prince visits Anti-Narcotics Department

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, on Monday, said programs for drug control, prevention and treatment should be assessed and linked with indicators to measure their impact and effectiveness on the ground.
During a visit to the Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) and meeting with security officials, Prince Al Hussein added that addressing the scourge of drugs and its causes requires developing and implementing a comprehensive and preventive strategy.
The Crown Prince stressed the need to adopt programs to build the capacities of children, youth and family to promote awareness of the risks drugs pose.
HRH voiced his appreciation for the efforts of the department's cadres and the concerned authorities in combating this scourge, which requires the cooperation of all, pointing out to the important role of civil society institutions in this field.
Public Security Department (PSD) Director-General, Maj. Gen. Ahmad Al Faqih, reviewed efforts and preventive measures to reduce drug risk and mitigate its effects, noting that achievements accomplished in the fight against drugs were big and clear compared to previous years.
ADD Director Brig. Gen. Anwar Tarawneh briefed the Crown Prince on mechanisms and procedures for drug control and prevention, in coordination and cooperation with all relevant bodies, in addition to international coordination.
