Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - An official of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and an European Union (EU) expert Saturday discussed progress in EU-funded projects in Jordan, including the one related to Syrian refugees.
The ministry's Secretary-General, Ahed Al-Wahdneh, and Kay Raja, the EU expert overseeing the EDU-Syria project, being implemented under the supervision of the ministry, tackled several aspects of the project, as well as the ministry's vision and future prospects for upcoming education-related projects for Syrian refugees and host communities.
The EU official is visiting Jordan as part of a series of evaluation trips to check on projects funded by the European Union in the Kingdom.
EDU-Syria is a project funded by the European Union and aims to providing scholarships for Higher Education to Young Syrians and Jordanians. The project is led by the German Jordanian University along with three partner institutes: Zarqa University, Yarmouk University and Al-Quds College.
