PM meets participants in Arab-African Economic Forum

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Hani Al Mulki on Thursday received ministers and heads of delegations taking part in the Arab-African Economic Forum currently being held in Amman.
The forum, held under the title "Partnership Roadmap and Financing Mechanisms", is attended by 400 participants from 54 Arab, African and foreign countries in addition to Jordan.
The event, which is organized by the Union of Arab Chambers and the Jordan Chamber of Commerce aims to develop Arab-African economic, trade and investment relations.
During the meeting, which was attended State Minister for Media Affairs Mohammad Momani, President of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce Nael Kabariti and President of the Amman Chamber of Industry Issa Murad, Al Mulki said that Jordan will not spare an effort to support cooperation projects among Arab and African countries, and implement all measures that will be agreed upon during the forum in the interest of all parties.
He said that trade and investment exchange among Arab and African countries is still modest, but there are major opportunities to increase them through potentials available in Arab and African states.
The prime minister pointed to the increased stability in Syria and Iraq, adding that this would provide an opportunity to take part in the reconstruction process and lead to more investments in the IT and construction sectors.
Al Mulki voiced the government's readiness to support the establishment of true partnerships between the private sector from both sides to ensure the success of joint projects.
The president of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce said representatives of the private sector from Arab and African countries seek to further boost economic relations.
