Army chief visits Pakistan

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat made an official visit to Pakistan, during which Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain bestowed upon him the Nishan-i-Imtiaz (Military) medal.

During the several-day visit, the army chief and his delegation met with Pakistani Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi for talks on bilateral ties and means to enhance them. Freihat also met his Pakistani counterpart and discussed ways to bolster ties between the two countries’ armies. Talks also touched on efforts to fight terrorism.

The army chief also held talks with senior Pakistani military officers.
