According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), mercury levels will cool down at night dropping to 25 degrees Celsius in Amman and sliding to 29 in Aqaba. A in mercury levels is forecast over the weekend, as the heatwave that affected the country over the past three days is expected to gradually ease off as Thursday, the JMD said, adding that temperatures forecast to remain 3-4 degrees above their seasonal average creating relatively hot conditions across much of the country.
