Lower House condemns Egypt church bombings

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Lower House, Tuesday, condemned the terrorist attacks that targeted churches in the Egyptian towns of Tanta and Alexandria and claimed the lives of scores of innocent victims and injured others.

During today's session, Speaker of the Lower House, Atif Tarawneh, said the "legislature strongly denounces such cowardly terrorist acts and rejects terrorism in all its forms and manifestation".

Tarawneh urged the international community to ramp up efforts in combating terrorism.

Further, he voiced the lower house's support with the leadership, government and people of Egypt, extending condolences to the families of victims and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

Tarawneh also extended condolences to families of students who were killed in a crash involved their school bus in the Mafraq governorate and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
