Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Safadi on Thursday discussed the war against Daesh terrorist group with US Special Presidential Envoy for the Global Coalition to Counter Daseh, Brett McGurk.
The two officials reviewed the latest developments in the efforts to eliminate the terrorist organization and the threat it is posing to regional and international peace.
The Kingdom, Safadi said, remains committed to cooperating with the international community to fight terrorism, while noting the need for adopting a comprehensive approach to fight terrorism on the military, ideological and cultural fronts, by addressing crises feeding terrorist organizations.
The US envoy, on his part, reiterated the importance of the role played by Jordan to support international efforts to fight terrorism and boost security and stability in the Middle East.
McGurk briefed the foreign minister on the US approach towards addressing the latest developments in the war against terrorism.
