Jordan denounces terror attacks in Iraq, Afghanistan

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Jordan on Thursday strongly condemned the bomb blast that ripped through a wedding party Wednesday night in Tikrit, northern Iraq, and resulted in killing and injuring tens of innocent people.

State Minister for Media Affairs and Government Spokesperson, Mohammad Momani, said terrorists are trying to destabilize countries of the region through such attacks to cause further chaos, killing and destruction.

"The Iraqi people, have always suffered from such attacks, and today they realize the need of standing together in the face of such heinous crimes that target their unity and country," he added .

While expressing condolences to the Iraqi government and families of the victims, Momani wished the injured a speedy recovery and renewed Jordan's stand with Iraq under in circumstances.

Also today, the minister condemned the terror attack that took place Wednesday evening, targeting a hospital in Kabul, Afghanistan and resulted in killing scores of civilians.

Momani reiterated Jordan’s call for concerted efforts to confront these terror groups, which pose a threat to global peace and security.

Momani extended condolences to the Afghan government and people and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
