FM, Qatari counterpart discuss ties, regional developments

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Safadi on Wednesday, held talks with his Qatari counterpart Sheikh Mohammed Abdulrahman Al Thani on means to boost Jordanian-Qatari ties as well as the latest regional developments.

During the meeting, held at the Ministry of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs, the two ministers highlighted the importance of promoting bilateral ties and increasing cooperation in all fields in the interest of both countries.

They also reviewed the Palestinian issue, the Syrian crisis, the war on terrorism and other regional issues.

The two ministers agreed to continue coordination and consultations with the aim of solving regional crises and bringing about security and stability in the region.

Talks also covered preparations for the Arab summit that will be held in Amman later this month.

Both sides affirmed the importance of the summit in discussing challenges facing the Arab region as well as regional crises to achieve Arab interests.
