Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II, the supreme commander of the armed forces, on Tuesday visited the Public Security Department (PSD) where he was briefed by its Director-General, Maj. Gen. Ahmad Al Faqih, on plans the security body has put in place to develop policing work.
Al Faqih highlighted executive programs and measures the security apparatus had taken to enhance the level of service it provides to citizens and visitors to the country, in addition to fighting crime.
The King emphasized the importance of continuing development of the performance of the PSD and its various units to keep pace with the advancement in police work and boost efficiency.
His Majesty also stressed the importance of firmly enforcing the law to serve justice and equality, while observing the highest standards of human rights according to clear and constantly upgraded security strategies.
The Supreme Commander voiced his pride in the efforts of the security agency's personnel to protect citizens and safeguard their property.
