Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Jordanian embassy in Turkey, on Tuesday, said it was discussing with Turkish authorities the possibility of flying home a Jordanian citizen, who was injured in the Istanbul New Year's Eve terror attack.

Jordanian Ambassador to Turkey, Amjad Adaileh told Petra that the embassy, has been following up on the health condition of Alia Anton, who was rushed to the to Istanbul Acibadem Hospital after the attack, in which 39 people were killed. The ambassador explained that doctors earlier said it was not possible to fly Anton back home because of lung problems resulting from the injuries she sustained in the attack. The evoy added that doctors said the patient must be flown by an air ambulance provided that the aircraft shouldn’t fly at a cruising altitude of more than 25,000 feet.

However, Turkish doctors told the embassy on Friday that Anton's health is steadily improving and now she can be flown home in a special medical evacuation aircraft, Adaileh indicated, adding that Anton will be flown to Amman in the next few days.
