Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The cold air mass is Tuesday forecast to push down temperatures to below their annual average, creating cloudy skies and bringing heavy rain accompanied with hail, thunder and lightening mainly in the central and northern parts of the country.
The Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) daily brief said showers of snow are also forecast after midnight in the highlands and the northern regions.
Temperatures will further plummet over the next two days, bringing chilly conditions across the country with heavy rain accompanied with hail, thunder and lightening. Snow showers are also forecast after midnight on areas located 1,100 meters above the sea level, the JMD said.
Daytime temperatures expected in the capital and the northern regions will reach 9 degrees Celsius, dropping down to 3 degrees in Amman and 5 in the northern parts. Mercury levels in the southern areas are forecast to register a high of 7 degrees, dipping to 1 at night, while in the Gulf of Aqaba they will range between a high of 20 degrees and a low of 10, it added.
