A storm of heavy rain accompanied by lightning, thunder, westerly brisk winds and sometimes hail are also forecast. Mercury levels in the southern governorates are forecast to reach 9 degrees dipping to zero at night, while in the Gulf of Aqaba they will go up to 20 degrees sliding to 10, the JMD added. Temperatures will further plummet over the next two days with patches of fogs covering the skies bringing heavy rain and hail in different parts of the Kingdom. Snow showers are also forecast at night on the hilly areas with southwesterly brisk winds blowing dust in the southern and eastern regions, the JMD said.
